nRF52832 / nRF52840

Hello

I would like to point out that I have no knowledge of electronics.

I am in the advanced stages of building a project on the basis of Adafruit feather nRF52832, The project will be minimized to size of a watch and it is definitely possible(Hope) to become a start-up. In recent days I'm starting to check what type of screen to use, I think I'll use the AMOLED 1.39 400X400.

https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/1-39-400x400-full-color-circular_60817940872.html?spm=a2700.icbuShop.prewdfa4cf.14.647461a6bu9xDi

note: In the miniaturization of the project I want to use the Soc nRF52840 chip.

The interface of the AMOLED is MIPI DSI

My question:

1. Can I connect the DSI to nRF52, if yes what connector can I use?

2. Can (Soc nRF52832 or nRF52840)  handle the AMOLED In terms of data traffic and speed?

3. If you have insights I would love to hear.

Than you, have a pleasant day

  • Hi Eli,

You missunderstood me, I was saying that none of the both SoCs (nRF52840, nRF52832) has such support.
You are left with the two other options that I mentioned- other display or co-processor/driver for MIPI DSI.

Personally I have not worked with Adafruit Feather boards, however as far as I know they are using Nordic SoftDevice/BLE Stack and some parts of the SDK. Other than that most of the code base is developed and maintained by Adafruit team.
