PCA10040 board is damaged, how to replace interface MCU and correct firmware for it?

Hi, 

When trying to drive a motor driver, my nRF52 DK board is damaged with power rail 3.0V dropped to 0.5V.

After I desolder the interface MCU, the supply comes back normal. 

I'm planning to buy this ATSAM3U2CA-AU and reload the firmware. 

May I know how to do it?

Hi @Håkon Alseth , I have the same problem, my PCA10040 board has damaged today :( I tried to fix it suspect D2 and U3 element, but after replace it turned out to be MCU. I also desoldered MCU and the supply comes back to normal. I can buy new ATSAM3U2CA-AU and try solder to the PCB .

Can You tell me whether it is possible reload the firmware ?
