zigbee/thread support for NRF52832

Hi, I know NRF52840 support mulitprotocol BLE/Zigbee/Thread. Would NRF52832 support those as well? For cost reason, my smart home application product would really prefer NRF52832. Is there a reason why 52832 can't be used for Zigbee/thread? Or is this a future planned date to support?

    Hi Oliver,

    The nRF52840 is currently the only radio with the 802.15.4 Radio which is needed for Zigbee and Thread. The nRF52832 will not support this nor are there plans to incorporate this into the nRF52832 device.  However as we are constantly working on new devices with new feature sets  I suggest you contact your local Nordic Regional Sales Manager, Mike Obot for a road map discussion.  [email protected].  Tell him your design time frame. I am sure he can assist.
