Unable to use the nrfconnect-2.4.0 under Windows due to 'BDS/Androm.hrhsn'

I would like to use the nRF52840 as the subject device in a EE Capstone design course.  Compiler tools (both Keil and Segger) work well and will be easy to teach but I am unable to use the nrfconnect-2.4.0 under Windows due to 'BDS/Androm.hrhsn' which is detected and quarantined by Avira, hence DFU programming from the PC does not appear to be possible.   How soon will a clean version of nrfconnect be available on your website?

  • I had tried nrfconnect-2.3.0 previously but it does not recognize the nRF52840 dongle.  The dongle appears in Device Manager (Win7) under 'Universal Serial Device' as "Open DFU Bootloader (Interface 0)".  Is this correct, or should it be showing up as COM or HID?  My recollection is that during many attempts to get any driver at all to connect to the dongle is that at one point the dongle's red LED was blinking rapidly, but now it blinks slowly, whether or not I press RESET while powering it up.
