Low cost nRF51822 Beacon programmers?

I just received my Beacon Kit and need a programmer/debugger but money is tight. These are the options I'm looking at:

1. cut the traces on my nRF51822 EK board and add the TC2030 connector
2. Buy the J-Link EDU (this is for my personal exploration), or
3. Buy the Black Sphere (www.tag-connect.com/BLACK-SPHERE-DBG)

All feedback and shared experiences is appreciated

ST-Link on Nucleo boards can be used with OpenOCD. They go for just over $10.
