vdd is 3.27, is this ok?

So I have a NRF52 DK PCA10040 V1.1.0 2016.15 and a NRF52 DK PCA10040 1.2.4 2018.23....

the 2016, when connected to my laptop by usb, produces 3.3 volts on vdd....( sb10 shorted).

the 2018, when connected to my laptop by usb, produces 3.27 volts on vdd....( sb10 shorted).

I'm wondering if this is suitable for running an external board that requires 3.3 volts or if I screwed something up or have a defective board.

Thanks.

  • That would depend entirely on the "external board" - what does its specification say?

If it says the that the absolute minimum is 3.30V - and not a miilivolt less - then you are out of luck.

However, it seems unlikely that being 0.03 volts out in 3.3V - less than 0.01% -  is going to be significant ...

Are you sure that your measurement is even accurate to 0.01% ?
