I can report this, but have you considered download SES v3.40 during porting, and then update afterwards?

yes I have I get a clean build, the led blinks but no connection - unfortunately 

I thought that since the import function was available in SES,  that this would be a trivial exercise. that is not the case.

If you are developing with nRF52832 I suggest to use for instance nRF5 SDK v14.x or later, where there are already SES projects. For earlier SDK releases you may also check out:
