Ble HID keyboard example sdk12 on nrf52832 dev board does not pair with android 7.1.1 and above

Hi, 

I am using sdk 12 with s132 v3 on nrf52832 dev board. I am running the example code for ble hid peripheral for keyboard compiled using gcc and eclipse. The example code connects with iphones and show up as keyboard. But on android phone so far it has only worked with android version 7.0. I have tested it with Android 7.1.1 and Android 8.0 on multiple phones and the example does not even show up in the available ble devices list on the phone. 

I have seen similar post about android kitkat but none about the newer android versions. Anyone has any idea how to resolve this issue?

I have also tried using sdk 15.1 and the softdevice s132 v6  but in that as well I cannot get the example to work properly.

Hi Uzair,

I just testet the example and confirmed that it worked on Samsung S8 with android 8.

Are you running an unmodified version of the example?

How to you flash it?

So you cannot see that it advertises on an Android phone, what else symptoms?

a good idea could be to turn on Logging in the application and get out some logging info.

A sniffer trace would be beneficial.

Thanks for your help. While trying to get the logs I was able to figure out the issue. I am using the example as it is. The problem was the the pairing inside the nrf52 was causing problems when I unpaired with one phone and then try to pair with another nrf52 would not pair in case of iphone and in case of android it would not show up in ble devices list.
