Issue with nRFConnect desktop App

HI.

I am following the document http://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/pdf/nRFConnect_BLE_User_Guide_v2.2.pdf  to work with nRFConnect desktop App and my DK BMD300(Rigado).

I have flashed a program using nRFGoStudio already to the device ( SDK 15, Softdevice 132,PCA10040.

I opened the BLE App from nRFConnect.

Then I connected the DK through USB to laptop. It shows the following mesage.

"Device must be programmed, do you want to proceed".

If I give No, then everything is cancelled and it will be in the intial state.

If I give 'yes' then I think something  overwrites the previous program( I dont know what it is).

Everything is displayed ( the discovered devices etc), but I think some unwanted program is running in the device.

Please guide me in solving this issue.

Thanking you.

with regards,

Geetha

  • Even I am experiencing this issue. I think after flashing the device with the required hex file, we have to turn on the dongle externally using power supply (1V to 5V), like battery. After flashing the device if you connect it to your pc/laptop and open nRF Connect app for pc then the dongle goes into bootlander mode. At the back side of the dongle (nRF52840 which I am using) has Vdd and Gnd connections. I think we need to use them. Search for these points on your dongle. Let's wait for someone more experienced to post his answer.
