I want to sleep at the lowest current level possible while retaining RAM. I see that I(ON_RAMON_GPIOTE) is 17.37uA!  I want to avoid that. I see I(ON_RAMON_GPIOTEPORT) is only 2.36uA. Guess I'm a little fuzzy on the difference between the two modes. I don't believe our system needs to ability change any GPIOs based on another input without FW intervention. I think that's what the GPIOTE is used for, but I'm not 100% sure. Thank you!

Pin events and tasks and Port event are described in the GPIOTE peripheral documentation. IN events require a dedicated GPIOTE channel, and can be used to detect high-speed pin changes. The PORT event is a special event that can be used to detect changes on multiple GPIOs, but you will have to check in your application which pin changed and to what state. If you simply want to wake the CPU from a single GPIO, the PORT event is a great choice.
