RTX RTOS support in the near future?

Hi there,

we are currently looking for a suitable hardware + software with Bluetooth 5 support. All of our software projects are build and developed with KEIL MDK/ uVison IDE and RTX-RTOS. As far as I know, with an nRF52840 we can get hardware and a software stack (via SoftDevice) supporting Bluetooth 5 and uVision IDE.

The biggest drawback seems to be the fact that RTX support was dropped and we will be forced to switch to FreeRTOS. To me it looks like using the "Task manager" and "Queue" API out of the SDK, would give as nearly the same features except delay functions.

So far, am I right? Are there any plans to reintegrate RTX support when using SoftDevice?

I am not familiar with FreeRTOS, but I know there is no plans to reintegrate RTX no.
