Nrfx timer issue

I try to set up a timer:

The nrfx_timer_init() function crashes with an error:

app_error_weak.c,   87, Application memory access: 228556:256

What is wrong? How to fix this?

Environment: nRF52840, NRF SDK 15.2, S140 6.1, Mesh SDK 2.2

TIMER0 is used by the softdevice. Please try with another TIMER instance.

Anyway, I've already fixed it using app_timer. Is there any power (current) difference between app_timer and nrfx_timer?

Yes, app_timer runs on RTC, which use the LFCLK as clock source. TIMER peripherals use the HFCLK as clock source. TIMERS draw much higher current than RTC (see I_{ON_RAMOFF_RTC}).
