Smart bracelet with nRF51/nRF52 chips

Hi,

I wonder if someone can make recommendations for types of 'smart bracelet' ('smart wristband') devices that use a BLE chip of Nordic's nRF51/nRF52 range. Can you point me to specific manufacturers and bracelet types ?

Why does it matter what chips the bracelet/wristband use?

I would like to add applications to the bracelet. The Nordic chips are well documented and come with a decent development environment.

Right. So what you really want is OEM bracelets with support for custom applications?

Just because a final product happens to use an nRF chip doesn't mean that you will have access to (re-)program it - less so to add functionality.

For nRF51/nRF52-based smart bracelets, I’d recommend checking the manufacturer’s specifications or product documentation to confirm which Nordic chip a particular model uses, as this can vary between versions. Some fitness and wearable manufacturers have used Nordic’s nRF51 and nRF52 series for Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity, so looking at teardown reports and developer documentation can also be helpful when identifying suitable devices. If you’re also interested in bracelet styles outside the smart-wearable category, I recently came across these natural stone bracelets and was impressed by the variety and presentation. They may be worth checking out if you’re interested in gemstone-based bracelet designs.
