Requirements for RF tuning and frequency matching capacitors

Hi,

for production purposes, we need to define the components of our circuit. Less specific definitions of the parts are prefered to ensure the interchangeability of common parts like capacitors and coils without the need of requlifying the circuit by the development department.

Two critical parts of the system are:

1. Tuning capacitors for the crystals. Is the definition of NP0, footprint and value sufficient or do you recommend to define a specific model from a certain manufacturer?

2. RF impedance matching capacitors and coils. Is the definition of NP0, footprint and value sufficient or do you recommend to define a specific model from a certain manufacturer? Are there any other requriements regarding the coils?

Which requirements do you recommend regarding the two critical parts of the circuit?

1. Footprint, value, 10-20% tolerance.
   
   
2. Capacitor: NP0, size, and value. 
   
   Inductor: Self resonant frequency > 5GHz, same size and type, max 10% tolerance.
