Does Zephyr support DTM test directly?

Hi Sir,

As reference the mwp_029.pdf (Zephyr Bluetooth Low Energy Controller), in the page 8, there is a sentence shows.

"The Controller has Bluetooth low energy Direct Test Mode (DTM) built in, which makes production testing
and RF PHY re-evaluation easy. It supports all mandatory and optional DTM features over an HCI transport."

Does it mean if we follow this link to build up the Zephyr project, we can test w/ DTM equipment (like Anritsu MT8852B) directly, right?

Or we still need to use the DTM image under "\SDK\examples\dtm\direct_test_mode\"?

Hi,

 

Yes, you just have to set CONFIG_BT_CTLR_DTM_HCI=y then yes it will support DTM over UART-HCI. The DTM image in the SDK can still be used instead if preferred, but it is a separate application, it is not needed for using the DTM that is built in to the Bluetooth LE controller.

Is there any simple way to make it work over RTT and still use the nordic applications to transmit/receive?
