Mahmoud, The ARM Cryptocell-310 doesn't appear to FIPS 140-2 certified. NIST has a list of approved modules and the only the Cryptocell-712 is certified. See here https://csrc.nist.gov/Projects/Cryptographic-Module-Validation-Program/Validated-Modules/Search, search for ARM in the vendor field or Cryptocell in the module field. That said the Infocenter has a Standards section under the Cryptocell chapter and it states FIPS 140-2 in several places infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp
Yes, that is why I was confused.
The reference to FIPS 140-2 (should) refer to the true random number generator in the nRF-series:

This is a requirement in the BT spec:
Hi Kenneth,
I realize this thread is two years old - I have same/ similar question with regards to nRF52833's AES capabilities in general, and in particular "128-bit AES/ECB/CCM/AAR co-processor (on-the-fly packet encryption)" as mentioned in 833 product spec v1.3. Do you know or has any way to check into if this encryption engine is capable of complying with FIPS 140-2?
Hi,
AES is a FIPS-140-2 approved algorithm.
