RF Phy Certification

Hello-

We are preparing a product for Bluetooth certification.  Our design has a PCB antenna and the the testing house is requiring an SMA RF coaxial cable to interface with their test equipment for RF-Phy testing.  We have a test point on the PCB after the matching network where a coaxial cable can be soldered.  Do we need to cut the PCB antenna trace when the coaxial cable is attached?

Yes, you need to cut the antenna trace.  I would suggest you consult with the lab as to where they want you to cut the trace and solder the SMA connector.  In my experience you will need to cut the trace between the nRF52 and the matching network.  Again I recommend getting confirmation.
