Certification NRF52840

Hi Nordic Team,
One of our customer wants to integrate communication via Thread BLE on his IoT-Gateway. We found your nRF52840 Dongle. Does this dongle have any certifications? Or is it possible to resell it in a package with the customers IoT-Gateway?

Hi Werner, 

The PCA10059 Dongle was made as a development tool and not supposed to be used in end product. We don't have any certification with the dongle.

You can copy the design and make your own dongle. But you would need to go through the Thread certification process.

However, the nRF52840 and Nordic's nRF5 SDK for Thread are certified as "Thread certified component" and you can base on that to certify your end product as Built on Thread.
