This error message has suddenly appeared on a previously fin Windows 10 machine. My software is all current as of today.

Hi Rando,
Have you try to uninstall and install the nRFx Command Line Tools again? Try installing the newest version -> https://www.nordicsemi.com/eng/nordic/Products/nRF52840/nRF5x-Command-Line-Tools-Win32/58850

I had run "repair" but that did not work, uninstall and reinstall had apparently. Thank you!!!

To clarify I had the 64 bit version, the 32 bit is what worked for me (that's the suggested link given by tech support)
This is so weird I also first installed 64 bit tools , after reading this post I uninstalled 64 and installed 32 bit and it worked, this is ridiculous and frustrating. Thanks for the post though else I would have wasted even more time on this. And why does Nordic Studio itself provided the latest command line tools so that the user doesn't have to figure out all this frustrating stuff.
This is what worked for me also (uninstall 64 bits and install 32 bits), so it's not fixed by now
