Is there any way could sense the level of a GPIO configured output?

Hi, Great Nordic support team:

Our client Is wondering if there's a way could sense the level of a GPIO configured output?

I mean, sensing the level without config the GPIO as input and not having other pins involved. 

I know it sounds like kind of strange, but is it possible for nrf52832?

What does the datasheet say?

But, surely, if it's an output then it will be at whatever level you set it ... ?

Thanks for notice , I've checked GPIOTE  page of infocenter. But it didn't mention the kind of usage. 
Of course, in my opinion, GPIO should keep the same level as it is configured, but for some reason they need to check it within the same GPIO.

If the output pin is being driven by peripheral other than GPIO itself, then you cannot sniff the level without using any other pin configured as input and connected to this output.
