nRF5 SDK for Mesh v2.2.0 - Command Line Tools?

How do I check what version I have installed?

The 'Getting Started' page states a minimum version of 9.5.0:

But the latest documented version is only 9.4.0:

If I query mergehex and nrfjprog, they both say 9.7.1:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Nordic Semiconductor\nrf5x\bin>nrfjprog -v
nrfjprog version: 9.7.1

So what on earth is going on?!?!

Hi Andrew,

We recommend to use always the latest versjon, which is now 9.8.0 as you linked above. There has not been any changes in the behaviour of the tools (how to use them) so that's why the documents are not updated.

As you can see, that's unhelpful at best - and confusing at worst.

You should at least update the documentation page to state that the latest versions are covered.

Really?

As noted, the latest documented version is 9.4.0

Since then, we are up to 9.8.0 - and the Changelog on the downloads page tells us that many things have changed:

• Support has been added for 5 new devices
• 3 command-line options changed/added
• 3 API functions added; and headers changed; and a new DLL added
• Supported Windows versions have changed
• Added "support" for Python 3.6 (no details of what that actually means).

and, of course, the Segger version changes every time.

You are right about this and about the changelog, so thank you for notifying us. I checked and this was already an issue in the internal report system, so hopefully we can expect the documentation to be updated soon.
