We are currently looking at developing a new BLE Tag based on the nRF51822. From the technical datasheet we decided that to save power we would use the internal DC2DC converter, as recommended in the datasheet. We are currently at the prototype stage and now realise that the documentation in the Softdevice release notes, limitations, (version 7.0.0) states not to use the DC2DC with the Softdevice.
Can someone please add some clarity as to why the DC2DC cannot be used with the Softdevice? Can it perhaps be used if the device is transmit only or with some other limitation? Does Nordic intend to fix this issue and if so when?
