nRF52 with nRF mesh app, BLE proxy device and none proxy device

Hi,

Noted that nRF mesh app needs GATT bearer to provision a mesh device. I'm using 2 nRF52 DK boards, provisioning is fine, set the keys, subscription lists, etc, everything works.

Then when disconnect and reconnect, I only want one proxy device in my network which will receive commands from smart phone, and as a ADV bearer relay device to my network, and others will be using ADV bearer to communicate and relay messages. So how does it work? Is it possible?

Hi. 

Not sure what you are asking here. 

It is not possible for the nRF Mesh app to provision non-proxy nodes. 

Take a look at this thread and the answer from Roshan:

Thank you for the relply.

I understood nRF Mesh app only provisions proxy nodes at the beginning.

My question actually is after provisioning & configuration, asume the nodes leave the network(still provisioned), and then come back, do they madatory need to be reconnect to the nRF Mesh app via GATT, or they can re-join as normal none-proxy mode, just use ADV bearer to receive messages and relay them in the network? Since they still have the network key, application keys, and pulication or subscribtion lists during provisioning and configuraion.

 Yes, that should be possible.
