I have reached the step where I submit    p.scan_start() and I see it does not detect any of my devices.

Is the serial firmware I downloaded to the 840 using the non standard discovery access code and so what I am sending from my module will not be detected?

I was not getting any adverts because the device I thought was unprovisioned was actually provisioned.
