My design goal is to conserve as much battery power as possible on a device that typically gathers data 30 to 40 minutes per day. To that end, our thought was to make the radio beacon for 10 minutes (and allow an ANT-FS connection) when the unit is power cycled, beacon for 10 minutes at the beginning of the data gathering cycle, and for 10 minutes at the end of the cycle. There does not appear to be a method to disable and re-enable the radio without disabling the softdevice (which may affect active timers) or without putting the CPU to sleep. Is there a specific softdevice call to disable the radio?
Note: there was a reply (thank you) before I edited my question to state that my application is an ANT client, not BLE.
