Getting 1.8V from VDD in high voltage mode

Hi,

I need to get 1.8V on the VDD using high power mode. According to the documentation this is the default value. However, I measure 3V. 

Please advise,

Hi Daniel

The product specification is specific to the IC itself, not the Development kit. The development kit is programmed to use 3 V as default. The  REGOUT0 register can be used to configure the output voltage. You can write 0 to the register to change the value to 1.8 V.

Apparently I used the wrong USB connector. 

I have a follow-up question: according to errata 22, one shouldn't not draw current from VDD pin during power up. Is there any way to ensure this in software?

No, but you can use a MOSFET and a GPIO as the control signal.
