Programming failed, flash is not erased in nrf51822 how can we fix this issue?

Hi Team,

i am working on nrf51822 customized board, the SDK version is 12.3.0 (soft-device is s130 ) and Developing environment in keil 5.26 (on windows).

 i am trying to load the program using nRFgo studio using j-link segger i am getting issue.

Before loading i have erased everything, i am able to load the soft device hex when i load main application hex its throwing one error like  : Programming failed flash is not erased.

what could be the problem , how can i fix the problem please suggest me ?

Sounds to me that you may have setup the project wrong or have mixed wrong softdevice binary with the SDK example. If done correctly there should be no overlap in memory (flash) between the two, however if you compile the projects with the wrong compiler settings or wrong softdevice, then you may get such problem. Have you followed the getting started in the sdk on how to compile and program one of the BLE examples as-is?

 When I program the soft device hex file s130 and Blu_App_Uart hex file are flashing into the target board , but it doesn't connect the  nRF Tool box  android app (GAT connection fail)

if i use other hex file ble_app_proximity and ble_app template its throws error i am attaching below please find.

You don't need to use nRFgo Studio, you may use the command line instead to program both softdevice and application. It is the same command for both, example:

In your case it will be:

nrfjprog --eraseall

nrfjprog --program softdevice.hex --sectorerase
nrfjprog --program application.hex --sectorerase

how we connect Nordic device in command prompt, i am trying to connect with J-link commander but it is not connecting.  how we configure please help me to come out.i am using nrf51422_XX-AC, SDK 12.3.0 , Keil 5.

Try: https://www.nordicsemi.com/Software-and-Tools/Development-Tools/nRF5-Command-Line-Tools 

You need to connect GND, VDD, SWDIO and SWDCLK to program the board. (And GND_DETECT to GND if you are using a nRF51-DK as programmer).

Make sure that VDD voltage is supported by the programmer (e.g. 3 - 3.3V if you are using a nRF51-DK as programmer).
