DFU

Hi,
i have an existing product but the firmware has been removed from it.
i have tried to use the dfu to replace the firmware but i dont know how to get the chip to the point where it can take the software.
i am using an nRF52832
new here, much apriciate any help:)

Hi,

Is this an end-product that you bought, or a product you have developed yourself? If it is an end-product, you should contact the manufacturer to get support. If this is i product you have developed, did you integrate a bootloader in the product? You should provide details on what SDK version you have used. How to put the device into DFU/bootloader mode is dependent on your firmware, and is something you should be able to figure out from the source code.

hi, yes it is a product i bought yet shouldnt it be programmable with the dfu?

That depends on whether the device manufacturer put a DFU bootloader on it. There is no default DFU solution in the device. We provide bootloaders and examples in our SDK, but it is up to the developers to put it into the devices. 

We cannot provide support on 3rd party products, you will have to consult the manufacturer of the device for getting help with restoring the firmware.

Alright, so it is unique to the product. How do i know if there is a bootloader in it?
