Accessing GPIO pins in nRF51 beacons

We have some nRF51 beacons kits and we want to connect some external peripherals using the available GPIO pins.

Does any one have an idea on how to solder some pin headers ? Or is it possible to solder a wire directly ?

Suggestions are most welcome .. and thanks a lot for your help!

  • I would just use a thin wire to solder directly on to the pad. If you plan on using the same beacon board to connect/disconnect to several sensors I would solder the wire to a header and then have the wire between beacon board and the header the same and change the sensor input on the header.

Anyways, there's no problem with soldering on a thin wire directly on the beacon kit.
