nRF9160 VDD_GPIO maximum current consumption

I'm am trying to select an LDO to provide the VDD_GPIO power rail for the nRF9160 and am interested in selecting either a 100mA or 200mA LDO.  Can Nordic provide a rough order of magnitude maximum current consumption for the VDD_GPIO power bus so that I can select the proper max current LDO.

The power consumption will depend on what you have hooked up to your GPIOs. For typical current consumption you can take a look at the table 'GPIO Electrical Specification' in the bottom of this page https://www.nordicsemi.com/en/DocLib/Content/Product_Spec/nRF9160/latest/gpio

Hi Paul,

I am not sure I understand what you mean, the current requirements for VDD_GPIO will depend on what you have connected to your GPIOs, see how they are connected to VDD_GPIO here.

The recommended voltage conditions of VDD_GPIO are listed here. But the current consumption you will need to calculate yourself, as far as I have understood.

Maybe you are searching for the current consumption scenarios for VDD? In that case you can take a look at the electrical speficiations under the "Current consumption" chapter in the product specification, here.
