Dear nordic:
I am confused of NRF51824 MTU issue, NRF51824 can use S130 softdevice, S130 is qualified bluetooth 4.2 core spec, then why S130 features don't included MTU configuable MTU.

Hi,
Configurable ATT MTU(larger than 23), is an optional feature in the Bluetooth 4.2 core spec. The S130 SoftDevice does not support it. If you need configurable ATT MTU, I would recommend to use a nRF52-series SoC and SoftDevice.(All the newest nRF52 SoftDevices support configurable ATT MTU).
Dear nordic,
Configurable ATT MTU(larger than 23), is an optional feature in the Bluetooth 4.2 core spec. I find that description in Generic Attribute Profile, it means that whether this feature is realized is depend on user, nordic is a chip manufacture,
support more features will give user a good develop experience. because your nrf51 serial products don't support
configurable ATT MTU, we have to give up using your product or increasing subpackage in our procedure. this is a bad user experience.
I suggest your company can increase configurable ATT MTU feature in your nrf51 serial products.
Best regards,
jerry
Hi,
Thank you for the feedback. I will forward your request.
In the meantime, if configurable ATT MTU, data length extension, and new BLE 5 features is something that is important for you, I would recommend our nRF52 series products(e.g. the nRF52832).
