Thread border router commisioning app not working

Hi,

Yesterday I installed the image 'RaspPi_OT_Border_Router_Demo_v1.0.0-1.alpha.img' on a Raspi 3B+ and cpnnected a Nrf52840 DK via native USB. Using the 2.0.0 Thread Zigbee SDK.

The web page works fine, altough it is weird that the default settings of the network is not with the described Pan id 0xABCD but with 0x1234 (and some other parameters that are different tan the example given here: https://www.nordicsemi.com/en/DocLib/Content/SDK_Doc/Thread_SDK/v1-0-0/thread_border_router).

So now I want to commision some CLI modules, and installed the 'Thread Commissioning App'. Starting this directly recognizes the border router (via ethernet or WiFi), but connecting to the border router does not work. Sometimes I may enter a password, but then tou have to wait forever.

Anyone familiar with this problem?

Regards,

Milo

PS for testing with the Thread commisioning app, I used a Samsung S7 phone (Android 8.0) and a samsung Galaxy tablet (no SIM)

The NCP example is build with Segger Studion (4.10), I did not use the hex file)

  • Problem is that when I use the 'RaspPi_OT_Border_Router_Demo_v1.0.0-1.alpha.img' the app does not work. When I follow the steps on the openthread website (to create the border router from scratch) it does work and I can add nodes. Problem is there that the routing/forwarding doesn't work properly.

Using the 'RaspPi_OT_Border_Router_Demo_v1.0.0-1.alpha.img', I emptied the cache and deleted the app data on my phone. This helps, because when selecting the border router in the app, it immediately shows the password dialog, only entering the password will fail.

    So far the current status...
