Bluetooth low energy Services, a beginner's tutorial

Hi, I've followed the tutorial on https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/tutorials/b/bluetooth-low-energy/posts/ble-services-a-beginners-tutorial. I got to the end of the tutorial and the program compiles and I've downloaded it to an nRF52832 board, but when scanning in nRF Connect, the device doesn't show up. I'm scanning from an nRF52840 board via nRF Connect and the board with my custom service is nowhere in the scan...

I'm having the same problem. In my case the call to the sd_ble_uuid_vs_add() function in our_service() returns 4 and it gets stuck on APP_ERROR_CHECK.

Hi Torjus,

Error 4 is defined as NRF_ERROR_NO_MEM, here. This error happens if there are no more free slots for Vendor specific UUIDs. Try increasing the NRF_SDH_BLE_VS_UUID_COUNT in sdk_config.h and change your RAM settings to allow more RAM reserved for the Softdevice. You can take a look at this case as well.
