No network interface to work with on nrf9160

Hello,

I followed the getting started guide but the kit can't connect. I'm getting this error:

net_if.net_if_init: There is no network interface to work with!

Is this a known bug, how can i fix it? Or is there a hardware issue?

    Hello,

    Today I was able to perform some more testing. I installed the asset tracker example again and went to Sluis (The Netherlands) but got no reception again. 

    I also went to Ghent and there I was finally able to get a signal but only on 2 places and the connection broke frequently.

    I can therefore conclude that the chip is actually working and the software is ok. But there is definitely a big problem with reception. I hope this is due to a production error in my specific board. 

    How can I replace my defective board, should I contact my distributor?

    I have same issues, my location: Germany, will the iBasic SIM (registered) work in Germany? Should I use different sim?

    Same issue here. I am in Canada. The stocked asset tracker firmware threw same errors. I also tried my own sim card (Fido). No success. I was able to compile the at_client sample code. same problem though. No being able to connect to any network. Band 4 should be available here in Canada. Don't know why it didn't connect.
