iPhone 8 can't connect

Hello,

I'm having an issue when I try to connect to my device from an iPhone 8. I'm using s132_nrf52_5.0.0_softdevice on SDK 14.2.

The phone tries to connect and then it times out. All other phones I've tried worked fine. Could it be something related to Bluetooth 5 that my device still doesn't support?

The sniffer log as below.

  • Hello,

Sorry for the late reply. We have been short staffed during the Christmas Holidays.

Can you upload the sniffer log from when you are connecting to one of the phones that is able to connect?

From the sniffer log it seems like the two are connected, but that the phone disconnects after a while (packet no. 644). It would be interesting to compare it to the sniffer log from one of the other posts.

    Best regards,

    Edvin

  • Hi Edvin:

It's ok, never mind for the late reply.

I try with Redmi Note5 and it works. The sniffer log as below.

You can have a look from packet no. 258

ps: The Redmi Note 5 Android's version is 8.1.0.

  • hmm. From the logs I see that both phones are disconnected in the end.

Do you get the connected event on the nRF? And if you do, do you get the disconnected event as well? If so, what is the disconnect reason seen from the nRF Side?

The nRF is the peripheral in the connection, right?

With that phone, does it only happen on your project, or does it happen with the other projects in the SDK?

Do you use pairing? Do you handle the pairing requests on the nRF?

    BR,

    Edvin
