As of now, you will need to do a mesh dfu via the serial example & the process explained here. I am not sure if there is any plan for integrating Mesh DFU in the nRF Mesh app currently. The reason is that for large scale applications, it makes more sense to use a PC to provision & configure the mesh network, as you can easily backup the provisioning/configuration data (via the interactive pyaci script). Of course it would be a lot easier to configure the DFU via a smartphone application, like it is being done in nRF Connect for iOS/Android.

It is possible to perform a mesh DFU from the interactive pyACI script? Or using serial commands?
It seems this case was set to verified answer & therefore it did not appear in my queue anymore unfortunately. Yes, this is possible via the interactive pyACI script using the serial commands.
