Mechanical specifications QFN48 6 x 6 mm package

Hi,

Could someone please help to advice what is the tolerance of dimension D,E (min/max)?

Thank you

  • The D and E are BSC (basic spacing between centers) in the POD (packet outline drawing). The BSC dimension is a numerical value which defines the theoretical exact size of the device. It has no tolerance implied until it is tied to a feature. Relating to D and E, specifying a profile tolerance of 0.10 (or the aaa per jedec) for the edge surface of the package. This means in every point along each of the 4 sides must be within 0.05 mm of half of the body dimension as measured from the center line of the package.

Applying this somewhat simplified, it means that D and E are both given a tolerance of +/ 0.10mm.
