GAP Public address from preset Random Static address

Hi!

We would like to have a peripheral product with an nRF52832 use a public GAP address. Is it okay to just replace bytes 6..4 of the predefined random static address with our IEEE company ID at startup or do ICs of the same batch share parts of the random address? How random is the random address there?

Hi Jann

There should not be any problems by using the random part of the address once your company ID is added, but you might want to assign these bits yourself to have a more structured overview over your products. That is totally up to you,
