Erasing flash nRF51822 causes chip to power off

After getting the "Keil- Error: Flash Download failed - "Cortex-M0" I followed a thread which said to use nRFgo Studio to erase and recover the target board. Unfortunately, the board stopped being able to power up from the one main power button after I recovered it. Is there a reset pin on the nRF51822 that I could toggle to try and bring it back to life? *edit: I discharged all of the capacitors on the board, some were holding nearly 200 mV!

nRFgo hangs in my Windows 8 and says "not responding". But it did something to my chips.

I am reading that they may be in deep sleep. how to bring them back??

Any insights would be appreciated.

  • Erasing the nRF51822 seemingly bricked the chip. Set up is J-Link lite to custom board. I was able to get to the program screen (from the recover screen) in nRFgo Studio by pressing the power button on my board down repeatedly. Then holding down the power button while programming worked.
