Regarding spi communication between nrf51822 and rfid mfrc522

Hello,i am not understanding the master and slave  program for spi code in the given example ,can somebody suggest me the easiest way to understand it.

I would think looking at the online SDK documentation and look in specific at the SPI example and SPI driver documentation would be a good start?

Where can I find that sdk documentation?I only know  how  spi works but I don't understand the way they have written.can you suggest with some easy way,beacu be I am doing some project on something that includes nrf51822.please
