BLE 5 beacon with BLE 4 scanner?

Can we use BLE 5 beacon with BLE 4 scanner?

As BLE 5 is long range which is my main concern. So, can I get that long range with BLE 4 scanner?

No, you will need a BLE 5.0 Scanner as well as beacon to operate with BLE Long Range.
