Programming the nRF 9160-DK

Hi

I just downloaded the nRF connect v2.6.0 - Programmer, but i don't what i have to do to start writing the code.

I only get 2 ``Boxes``, and one of them is called File memory layout. Its a place i can drag and drop HEX-Files. 

How do i get to the place i can write the code?

Im a beginner.

Hi. Did you add The "Getting Started Assistant" to nRF connect? You need to add it and then follow the step by step instructions to install the development tools including the Segger IDE.

Sorry for bringing an old thread to live, just want to see if anyone gets to the step of loading a project in segger and gets this error.  I don't see any /build folder when I clone everything over so I created one myself.  However, there are no .emprojects?  Any ideas?

Hello wischmi2,

Please make a new thread if the following does not help out.

- make sure you are using the "GNU Arm Embedded Toolchan: 7-2018-q2-update"

- make sure there is no spaces in the paths

- make sure you are in the correct release tag, mentioned in the getting started guide
