nrf51822 support in new SDK, Segger embedded studio

I have read that the nrf51822 is not supported anymore in the examples of SDK's older then V12.

Does the nrf51 completly not work anymore with newer SDK's or are only the samples not supported anymore ?

We use a custom board so we have don't use the board support anyway.

I ask this because I am struggling now already for a day to make the segger embedded studio to work.

I followed the blog post https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/b/blog/posts/segger-embedded-studio-a-cross-platform-ide

but cannot download the exect versions in this blog and I first had a lot of compile errors and now linking errors.

If I use an example from SDK15 it works out of the box.

Has anyone a working project for V12 ?

Hi

Converting older projects to SEGGER from Keil can be rather cumbersome. It should not be necessary to use the exact versions referred to in the post, as it is recommended you use the most recent versions (SEGGER Embedded studios V4.12, SDK 12.3.0 and J-LINK V6.42. The nRF51 are not supported by newer SDKs, so you should not use those with the nRF51 chips.

I am sorry, but we do not have any already imported SDK12 projects for you, but the community might be helpful here.

At least it compiles now, only uploading to a dev board (PCA10028) fails

No it is working now, I can connect with a phone to the dev board !

I only see some warnings :

Hi

The RAM settings can be changed to what the warnings suggest in your project options. This video shows you step by step how to do it. Fast advertising can be disabled by setting the ble_adv_modes_config_t::ble_adv_fast_enabled function to 0. As for the heart rate sensor warning, your project probably has or have had, a heart rate sensor application, and is programmed to give a warning when the sensor starts. It is just a matter of finding the function responsible.
