Radio Test Use

Hi,

I need to develop code for the custom board test, in which I need to enter the <channel> and it <power> value & then begin start/stop the continuous transmit the radio.

To do this I have looked into the radio test example from sdk s110. 

Is I am using right code to test my board ??

The radio_test example (sdk/examples/peripheral/radio_test) will work for your testing requirements.

It will great of yours if can, share me the details like in which type of requirement testing it will useful.

Actually as I mentioned I need to enter the channel and power, after entering it will Start or stop a continuous tone transmitted for the testing. Does it works in the same way ...  ??

Direct Test Mode API will allow you to drive the channel and power programatically.

For antenna tuning you can also select to just use an unmodulated carrier wave for the channel that you are looking for.

I'd recommend that you try the example. It should print a menu which gives you all the appropriate commands for setting output power, modulation scheme, modulated or unmodulated carrier, RF channel, and other parameters.

as cbd mentions, direct_test_mode (DTM) can also be used for RF PHY testing purposes, though it is mainly used for bluetooth testing.
