nRF9160 DK: Possible to reregister an eSIM to a different account?

Hello. I got an nRF9160 DK with an iBasis eSIM that was already registered on an nRF Cloud account. Is it possible move the already activated eSIM to my Cloud account? I tried pairing it again, but it automatically connects to the other account. I also tried reinstalling the the application on the DK.

Regards,

Ole.

  • Hi Ole,

Do you want to reuse the sim card or the cloud certificate that follows the nRF91 kit? The kit itself cannot be registered to two accounts at the same time, but you can use the sim card freely.

To register the nRF91 kit with your Cloud account, you must remove the DK from the account it was first registered. Do you have access to the original account? If so, you can follow these steps to remove the DK:

The sim card is already registered and can be used with other kits as well, but credentials used in assets tracker follows the kit i.e. IMEI number.
