nRF52840 power consumption

Hi there,

I am a beginner to the nRF series and I had the following question.

For a battery powered system, is it better to run the nRF52840 at a lower voltage such as 1.8 instead of 3.3V?

Are there any drawbacks to running at a lower voltage?

Typically connecting VDD directly to the battery and enable the DCDC regulator is the most power efficient.
