I'm having some serious issues with the Windows 10 BLE drivers, it would seem that if you scan for anything over 2-3 hours the BLE just dies!

Anyway, I am now looking at the possibility of circum-navigating the windows BLE drivers altogether and going for something with an HCI interface ie. serial.

I don't want to use any libraries etc. I would prefer to write my own but this would require me to have a reference of the HCI commands to drive Nordic the BLE dongle. I have searched high an low and there doesn't seem to be anything about.

Or am I just missing it...

Hi,

There are a couple of options, depending on what you want.

We have pc-ble-driver, which is a serialization library for using the SoftDevice (our BLE stack) API from PC software. Latest release is pc-ble-driver v4.0.0. There is also Python (pc-ble-driver-py) and JavaScript (pc-ble-driver-js) variants, but those are yet to be updated to pc-ble-driver v4.0.0.

Then there is the HCI example from the Zephyr RTOS, but that requires a functioning Bluetooth stack running on the pc. E.g. BlueZ on Linux, but I am not sure what you can use on Windows.
