nRF52840 Thread OTA

I'm using the nRF52840 DK with the thread stack.

I want to test OTA but I only find documentation to do this via bluetooth.

Is there a way this can be done with Thread?

Or do we need a bluetooth softdevice for the OTA and make the application a thread stack
