Getting "mqtt connection error" when using iPhone as nrf Cloud gateway

I'm trying to use an iPhone as gateway for nrf Cloud. The user is "Verified" and the "Gateway Name" is the same in the app as the only gateway I have in the nrf Cloud. But the gateway does not connect. From nrf Cloud I get the message "Your gateway is disconnected." and the log in the app has the following entries:

• "connecting",
• "mqtt connecting",
• "mqtt connection error".

The last entry with the following details ""mqtt client state changed to: connection Error".

The app is version 1.1.0 build 101 on an iPhone XS iOS version 12.1.2.

I does however work with my iPad running iOS 11.03. But I still want it to work with an iPhone :-)

Same here and I did used the gateway few weeks ago, i am using an ipad running 12.1... maybe there was some maintenance / upgrades on servers or something related?

found an older iPhone running 10.3, it kinda works....? at least no mqtt connection error... this is odd...
