nRF52840 USB Bootloader to support plug n play programming

Hi,

I am developing a product based on nRF52840 chip. I want to know if there are any bootloader available for nRF52840 which has following capabilities:

1- The bootloader should allow device detection using nRFgo studio.

2- User should be able to program both softdevice and application without external hardware.

If such codes are available in the example or anywhere on web. Please share the links or give reference of documentation related to this.

Hi,

You can use the "Open Bootloader with DFU" and program application+softdevice over USB using the Programmer app in nRF Connect desktop. This is the bootloader that comes pre-programmed on our nRF52840 Dongle (nRF52840 dongle programming tutorial).
